Gua Di is also known as Melon Pedicle. The bitter, cold and toxic herb has been used in TCM to treat phlegm heat as result of obstruction of the lung, promote vomiting, etc., as it eliminates Phlegm-Heat and food retention clears Damp-Heat, etc., by enhancing the functions of stomach and spleen channels.
